Grace That’s Beyond Human Logic

2nd Kings 6:6 NTL says, “Where did it fall?”, the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.”

Here In 2nd Kings 6: 1-7, we are given this amazing story where the school of the prophets had obtained Elisha’s blessing to expand their facilities.  While they were cutting down trees, the metal head of an axe fell off from its shaft and fell into deep water.  Since the axe had been borrowed, it became a disaster for one of the young men because he could not afford to pay for such an expensive tool.

After being summoned to the scene, Elisha immediately took a stick of wood from a nearby tree and threw it into the water.  Suddenly, the heavy iron axe head began to float back to the top of the water where it could be retrieved.

There was no other way  this could have happened apart from the power and the grace of God.   For only God, who created the laws of gravity could interrupt, suspend or defy His very own laws for the sake of this prophet and then allow this very heavy piece of iron to float.

Critics have tried to say that the stick Elisha threw into the water fell into the hole of the axe head and caused it to float or rise to the top, but the Jordan River at Jericho was so deep with rushing rapids.  So what’s the extreme possibility of the stick falling into the hole of the axe head in the dark muddy rushing water, let alone flowing against the current, back to the place where it could be retrieved?

This brief experience reveals the grace of our Lord and just how much He cares for His people, even in their smallest concerns.

The power and the grace of our Living Savior are more than enough to help us in every situation or crisis that we’ll face.

While the loss of an axe head may seem like  a trivial subject to some,  with God all things that effect us also matter to Him.   Doesn’t He encourage us to cast all our cares upon Him because He loves us?

“Is anything too hard for the Lord to do?  His grace far exceeds our human logic or sense of reasoning.  That’s why when God is all we have, He’s all we need.  He enters into our dark, dismal or seemingly impossible circumstance and births light and gives new life to our situation.  He alone is God, there is no other like Him and He cares for you.

He can touch the hearts of others to bless you or He can bind the hands of those that oppose you.  He’s greater than any sickness, illness or life-threatening disease and through faith in Jesus Christ and His Word, He enables believers to stand and walk through the toughest of times.

God’s still in the business of saving, healing, delivering, restoring, encouraging, protecting, providing for, comforting and strengthening His people as we face or go through all kinds of adverse circumstances, negative situations, painful conditions hard times or satanic entrapments, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

“Is There Any Such Thing As Being In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time?”

Is There Any Such Thing As Being In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time?”

Suddenly, I was hit from behind by a young drunk driver as I was stopped at a red light this past Saturday morning while driving to my office.  It was 5:30 AM, still dark and very quiet, when I suddenly felt the impact.

I had been praising The Lord in song and worshiping up to that point, when I suddenly felt the impact of her vehicle from the rear.

As I slowly got out and walked to her car, I asked for her license and registration.  While she was heavily intoxicated, she kept murmuring, tried to argue and refused to comply.  As I quickly wrote down her front license plate number and dialed 911 to inform the police, she immediately sped off rapidly into the darkness, running the red light.

Within 2 minutes several police arrived and I informed them of her condition saying, “She’s either going to hit someone else or hurt herself.”    So, I quickly prayed and asked God to stop her from hurting any other people.

After completing police report, I left the scene and finally arrived at my office 10 minutes later.  The very moment I sat down at my desk, my telephone rang.  It was the police!  There had been another accident about a mile down the same street with the same young drunk driver and they asked me to come and identify her.

As I arrived at the scene, I observed that her car had been totally demolished.  Several police cars were at the scene and had blocked off the street because she had struck a light pole at a high rate of speed.  Amazingly, she appeared unhurt as the police officers were giving her different sobriety tests, which she all failed.

After providing a positive identification, giving a recorded statement and getting more documentation, I returned back to my office.  Still in shock about all of the early morning events, the damage to my car and the soreness I feeling, once again I began to converse with The Lord.

Unforeseen occurrences, tragic experiences, bad decisions, comical accidents,  bad luck, fate or negative chance encounters have all been explained in this world, in the natural, as “Being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

In John 16:33 NASB,  Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

While this world is filled with forces of darkness, misery, untold suffering and all other types of ungodly activity, as believers we still have “The favor of God in our lives.”

Though we as believers are exposed to a variety of calamities in this world,  I am fully convinced that nothing ever happens to us in this world that “catches God off guard.”

In Job 13:15, Job declared, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.”   Despite everything that had come against him, Job held on to his testimony.   Without any glimpse or appearance of hope in this world,  Job was yet determined to believe God for His intervention and eternal salvation.

When things come against you and you don’t understand why, are your eyes also fixed upon  Him?

I can only give Christ praise!  For in all things I recognize that He alone is my salvation, healer, deliverer, protector and much more. I can only rejoice, despite this incident, because His amazing grace had once again been demonstrated by the wonderful hand of God.

“Standing Through The Storms In Life Through Faith In God”

Standing Through The Storms In Life Through Faith In God

Years ago I received an emergency call from a family in my church and immediately left my job as I rushed to the hospital.  The pregnant wife’s family was being informed that due to her sudden severe illness, the possibility of her carrying the baby to full term was in jeopardy, and even if the infant did survive, the baby would be born with severe retardation.  So, they were recommending terminating the pregnancy.

As their pastor, I was allowed into the intensive care ward and quickly taken to her room.  She had been sedated and was being given other needed medications as she was being cared for.  So I quietly stood along her bedside and began to call upon THE GREAT PHYSICIAN, The Lord Jesus Christ.

I already knew Him as a doctor, but could I believe that He wouldn’t lose this case?  As I sensed His Presence, I realized Christ never cares about your previous medical history, doesn’t look at medical charts, doesn’t care about the diagnosis, isn’t concerned how you got to this place, and doesn’t even review your X-rays.  I had long discovered that when things even appear hopeless, There’s Always His Grace, so I prayed.

As I prayed, I tenderly held her hand.  Then knowing her heart, even while she slept from the medication, I entered into an agreement before God to believe Him for the birth of a healthy baby and the healing of this mother and her life.  I took authority over the condition, the sickness, and the circumstances, all in the mighty name of Jesus ChristI fully believed and confessed that when Jesus hung on that cross, He died that she and her baby would live.  I quoted scriptures over her and I prayed with such fervency until my clothes were drenched with perspiration.

I firmly stood on John 15:7 where Jesus Christ said, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, then you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.”

Any believer in Christ who has engrafted God’s Word into their heart, should have no will that is not in harmony with the Divine Will of God.  Upon realizing their union or relationship with Christ, every believer should be charged with His thoughts, burning with His purposes, and allowing His Words to control or affect their lives.

I prayed according to God’s promises in His Holy Word and stood in faith that not only would He do what He said, but that it was already done through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Then after embracing and encouraging her family, I went home.

This family had a major decision to now make.  Would they believe in The Lord that I represented and that a few of them had come to personally know?  Would they believe in the words and encouragement of their pastor from the Holy Bible?

As a young pastor, I had come to know the extreme importance of knowing Christ, believing in The Power of God through prayer, and the importance of giving good biblical and spiritual counseling as I looked to the Lord.

That Sunday morning I preached, telling the church that “often God expects us to believe Him and His Word without any outward sign or evidence apart from faith in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

No matter how dark, dismal, or discouraging our situation may seem to be, we are instructed and encouraged to have faith in God.  Everything is predicated on what God has already done for us through Jesus Christ.  The Lord wants us to believe and have faith in Him despite our surroundings and what they dictate to us.  We are to be open to the voice of The Holy Spirit of God for further direction.

That family stood in faith.  They believed in the God that I had taught them about and they looked to Jesus Christ.  Several weeks later, that mother gave birth to a very healthy strong baby boy, and over the years I watched him grow throughout childhood.

That mother didn’t know that I had come into her room and prayed like I did.  While she was later told of my visitation and prayer, I jokingly teased her that I had to buy a new suit because I never had prayed before where my suit had become so drenched that it couldn’t even be cleaned.  We all laughed as we were filled with great joy and gave God the glory.

As a further result of this, the majority of her family came to church.  Some members of her family came who had never darkened the doorway of a church before in their lives.  Many came to Christ and began reading the Bible for the first time.

There’s Nothing Too Hard For God To Do, but the issue at stake is, “Will You Trust Him And Believe In His Word?”

“Are You As Close To The Lord As You Should Be?”

Are You As Close To The Lord As You Should Be?”

What is it that is keeping you distant from Him or from doing His will?  Past disappointments?  Unanswered prayers?  Things not turning out the way you’d hoped or planned?   Confusion, hurt, anger, or grief?  Sin?

What you don’t realize is that Christ knows more about you and your circumstance than even you do.

Are you aware that your cure, inner healing, answers, comfort, forgiveness, deliverance and strength will all come as you draw closer to Him?

Luke 15:20 NIV says, “So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”

In this familiar illustration, the son had “messed-up” just like so many of us have time and time again.  No doubt, just like so many of us, rather than drawing closer to God and allowing Him to make “sense out of our non-sense,” we keep going. While we keep struggling to “save face” by continuing to handle matters ourselves,  the pit grows deeper and our misery escalates even more out of control.

Then like the prodigal son, suffering, sadness and despair brings many to the place of realization that where they are is not the father’s will for their lives.

So even though he was ashamed and was being driven by his needs, he arose, shook off the effects from being with the swine and started his journey home.

Now, it doesn’t matter if you are a great distance away and it’s been years since you’ve thought about God or if you’re just not as close to Him as you need to be as you’re struggling to make it in life.

The beauty in the parable, which Jesus Himself told, of the prodigal son was of the father’s wonderful reaction and exciting love as he saw his son coming to him.   The father had been hoping and watching for his son’s return and once he caught a brief glimpse of him, he ran towards him to love on him.

The father did not concern himself with what had happened in his son’s life or the misery that had overtaken him, HE LOVED HIM and only showed His compassion towards his returning son. Then the father unexpectedly but wonderfully threw a large reception to celebrate the occasion.

Though wretched, improvised, beat-down, emaciated and hungry, when the father saw his son, he ran towards him and met him in love with arms wide open.

Now, the hunger that is in your heart for God and the need for His divine intervention in your life are enough to bring you to Him.

Be like the prodigal son and set you eyes towards Your Father.  Do not confer with flesh and blood, do not listen to discouragement from others.  COME HOME!!!   DRAW CLOSER TO HIM!!!

Know that you’re out of place not being with Him, close to Him, filled with His Spirit or being led by Him.

Forget about your circumstances or what you’ve gotten yourself into,  TURN TO CHRIST!!!  You will not have a cold reception because He is looking and has made provisions for your return.

He is ready to shower you with His love, forgiveness and amazing grace.  And that is just the very beginning.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Why Did Jesus Call Himself “The Bread Of Life?”

Why Did Jesus Call Himself “The Bread Of Life?”

In speaking to the crowd regarding the manna that came down from Heaven during the time of Moses, it is now very interesting that our Lord would refer to Himself as Bread.”

In John 6:35 NIV, Jesus declared, “I Am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

Bread has always been one of the main ingredients of any meal.  It sustains and comforts us, it gives refreshment and support, it brings nourishment, and as a main grocery or provision it offers nutriment. Whether used as a delicacy, an appetizer, or as a treat, in any culture throughout the world, it’s a rare dish that comes without any of the main ingredients of bread.

White bread, dark bread, French bread, garlic bread, unleavened bread, muffins, biscuits, corn bread, hot dog or hamburger buns, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, rolls, Italian pasta, dumplings, sourdough bread, cake, crackers, tortillas, oatmeal, grits, dry cereals, pastries, cookies, pretzels, corn meal, toast, bagels, doughnuts and much more, are all different example forms of this highly needed nutritional item.

As vital as bread is as a main substance, Jesus refers to Himself as The Bread Of Life,” revealing to us why He is more vital than any meal you could ever consume.

As Christ reveals Himself as “The True Bread of Life, He’s declaring that HE IS to the soul what bread is to the body.  As the protein from natural bread gives nourishment and strength to our physical bodies, only Christ can give LIFE to dead sinners.  Then through His Word and The Holy Spirit, Christ maintains that NEW LIFE that He has given.   There’s absolutely NO WAY for to sustain and support this NEW LIFE within you, without Him.

Your NEW MAN can only be quickened, nourished, renewed, strengthened and anointed through the power of Christ, THE LIVING BREAD, as you consistently feed on His Word and are filled with His Spirit.   We are thereby instructed and encouraged to feast upon Him.”

In Matthew 5:6, Jesus said “Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.”  Once you come to Christ Jesus and regularly “feast upon Him” then you shall never desire any other food but Christ, “The True and Living Bread.”   You will be satisfied with Him and never be in a starving or famishing condition as you discover that “He’s all you need.”

This revelation reveals His Divinity, Love, Authority, and Grace, along with His Intimate Desire to live and flow through us, as we’re energized or empowered by His Word and Holy Spirit.

HE IS our creator, our provider, our sustainer, our true comforter, and savior.   HE IS the giver of hope, the lover of our souls, and the true source of our joy.

It is by Him that “we move, live, and have our being.”   HE IS The Only One That Gives Us Eternal Life.

Therefore, it is no wonder that He encourages us to pray daily to Our Heavenly Father: Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread.”

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

“Are You Living Under Gods Grace Or Sitting On Death Row?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Are You Living Under Gods Grace Or Sitting On Death Row?”

“Are You Aware That It’s All Coming Up Again?”  One may not know how or when, but there is coming a time when your eternal soul shall be separated from your physical or mortal body through death.

So, have You Made The Right Preparations To Meet Him?

Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.“  Death simply means “to be separated from.”   Physical death separates the soul from the body and spiritual death separates your soul eternally from God, if you died outside of Christ.

There are no exceptions made because of your accomplishments, rank, beauty, talent, patriotism, wisdom or financial success.   There is no hope of reprieve and none shall escape.

While we are all under the sentence of death,Have you made right preparations for it?”

For after death you cannot come back and do what you forgot or neglected to do.  You cannot return back and ask God’s forgiveness for your sins that in this world you refused to do.  Nor can you return and correct the evil deeds that you once performed.

As believers in Christ, we have the wonderful assurance we shall never walk through that valley alone, but rather will be escorted through that dark passage by God’s Holy Angels, directly into the very presence of our Living Lord and forever be with Him.

However, the unbelievers, those who neglected or rejected Christ, when they pass into eternity, their destiny will also be made known to them with a final interview before The Lord at The Great White Throne, where their doom will be pronounced and delivered for all eternity. (Read Revelation Chapter 20)

Millions today are living their lives in bondage to sin, fear and unbelief, and have excepted it as their normal way of life.  Whether they want to believe it or not, they’re now living on death row and are being victimized and held prisoners by Satan and the forces of darkness.

But Christ has come to set them free, give them life and life more abundantly.  Many don’t have a single clue as to what they’re missing, which is “Life In The Spirit Of God And Walking Under His Grace.”

Grace from God is offered and meant to be received as a free gift through faith in Jesus Christ.  When you live under God’s grace, you’ll begin to awaken to the new life of Christ within you, the magnificence of His wonderful fellowship and the freedom that you now have through Him.

There is no other way to be pardoned from sin or set-free from the powers of darkness than through accepting  the sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross and believing in His Resurrection.

Nothing can deliver a sinner from death row and from being condemned on the day of judgment except the atoning blood sacrifice of Christ.  No one will be saved from eternal punishment in the lake of fire who despises, neglects or rejects so great a salvation.

While salvation is free, “It Certainly Didn’t Come Cheap.”  God had our best interests in His heart when He sent Jesus to die for our sins.  Christ took our sins upon himself and bore them on the cross.  He was made sin for us which means that He took our place so that we could become righteous or have right standing with God.

When people deny and continue to reject Jesus, they continue to remain in bondage to sin and live on death row awaiting their execution.

One day He shall return as The Judge of glory. Have You Made The Right Preparations To Meet Him?

“When Is God’s Grace Sufficient To Help You?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

sufficient grace

When Is God’s Grace Sufficient To Help You?”

While God’s grace is always available, for many of us, it’s when you look around and discover there’s nothing else left but THE GRACE OF GOD.  It’s when you run out of places to turn to, people to count on and your ingenuity is all gone.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9 God’s answer to The Apostle Paul was “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

After Paul had earnestly sought The Lord three times for a divine miraculous deliverance, God revealed that He would support him and not allow him to be destroyed by that pressing trial.  And that His Amazing Grace and Favor would be shown to him and in that GRACE he would find his ample support and strength as he continued onwards.

It doesn’t matter if Christ personally appeared to him or if he received this revelation from “the still small voice” of The Holy Spirit of God. Paul was use to communion with Christ and was accustomed to receiving revelations and answers from his prayers from The Lord.  But instead of his request being granted in the exact form in which he prayed, he received the assurance of God’s grace which was more than enough to support him in his trial and still is a great assurance and comfort to us today.

While an instantaneous removal or resolve of any problem can definitely appear to be a great blessing, The Lord is more interested in maturing you in faith, building a stronger relationship with Him and training you in the area of spiritual warfare than just your mere survival or receiving a temporary blessing.

Be it known that through standing on His Word and depending on His Wonderful Grace that Christ has developed some of His greatest spiritual traits within our inner character.

Christianity is not “your ticket out,” it’s Christ ALIVE in you and your way through this world.”  Christianity is God seeking for people that He can provide His grace, strength and wisdom through.   So, whenever there seems to be no hope, start believing that THERE’S ALWAYS HIS GRACE.

Through this passage of scripture, The Lord is revealing that so often He can’t do anything great in your life until you’ve realized that you’ve come to the end of your rope, are weak and become submissive.  It’s truly a shame that that’s when our natural minds realize the need for His divine or supernatural aid.  But, again we will rejoice in His Everlasting Love and Wonderful Grace.

So listen very carefully!  You may not be all that you think you ought to be, but thank God, you’re not what you used to be.  And if God could get you from where you were to where you now are, don’t you think He can take you from where you are now to where you should be?

I’ve personally discovered that no matter how wounded a person’s past might have been, only The Lord can impact your life and give you a promising future.  Therefore, be filled with The Holy Spirit and get your mind renewed in God’s Word and Promises.

It has been said that “You don’t drown by falling into the water; you drown by remaining there.”

So, don’t allow Satan to steal the Word out of your heart through the various pressures of life.  Stop feeling sorry for yourself and believe that Christ has called you to soar with the eagles instead of running with the turkeys.  Realize that Christ has called you to be an overcomer and instead of being overwhelmed.

Stop allowing previous incidents to continue to hold you hostage.  Don’t permit past rejections, needs for approval, and shame to keep you discouraged.  So, instead of breaking down, BREAKOUT AND BREAKTHROUGH by faith in Jesus Christ.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

“What Does It Take To Have The Favor Of God In Your Life?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

favor of God

“What Does It Take To Have The Favor Of God In Your Life?”

Did you know that God can do more in one moment of favor than you could ever accomplish in a whole life time of hard labor without Him?

While we don’t see an exact definition of it in scripture, there are 200 times where the word “Favor” is used throughout the Bible and many great examples are given of people who had “the favor of God” in their lives.

In each account, you’ll discover that favor had NOTHING to do with good luck or wishful thinking. Favor is not some magic formula you must learn or recite or some secret ingredient pill you have to take. You’ll also discover that it cannot be earned, purchased or achieved; it can only be “RECEIVED.”

Next, it’s important for people to understand and realize that God’s Favor can find you wherever you are and in whatever situation or circumstance you may find yourself in. Unemployed, dealing with family problems, in financial ruin, sick, in a dead end job, lonely, out-numbered, living in an obscure environment, facing eviction or foreclosure, or even incarcerated. There’s NO SITUATION so dark or impossible that The Holy Spirit cannot enter into.

Well, what does “Favor” look like? How do we get it? Once we get it can we ever lose it? Is it only for a select or chosen few?

Favor is God “showing up and showing out” in the life of any believer. You cannot force it, manipulate it or pretend that you have God’s favor. Many false pretenders have come and gone, but Christ will always have the final say-so and render judgment.

God’s favor is God divinely, supernaturally and graciously doing something that only He can do in your life for your good and His glory. It’s God’s Almighty hand at work in your life where only He can get the credit. It’s God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself or others in seemingly impossible or unfavorable situations. Favor is His presence, grace and power wonderfully at work in your life to draw attention to Himself that He’s mightily at work, orchestrating through you.

Now, obtaining the favor of God DOES NOT require a college education, a high credit score, any political connections or that you hold a certain religious position within your church community.

It is only received from God or bestowed upon anyone who has already dedicated, surrendered, committed, submitted, yielded, purposed in their heart or made a clear choice to take God at His Word and stand in faith against all the odds surrounding them that dictate otherwise.

It’s Christ Jesus wanting to touch and bless your life to show the world who He is and what He can do for no other reason than to declare that HE ALONE IS LORD AND THAT HIS WORD NEVER FAILS.

God’s Favor in your life does not mean that you’re now on “easy street” and that you’ll have everything you want when you want it. Neither is God’s Favor in your life just for your earthly convenience or to fulfill your fleshly desires. God’s “No genie in a bottle” that if you rub you’ll get 3 wishes that will make you happy.

God’s Favor comes upon or dwells in the life of any believer that makes a clear decision to stand for God and believe His Word regardless of any contrary outward evidence, negative remarks, demonic activity, physical hardship, dark circumstances or impossible situations surrounding you.

The Favor of God will be seen in any believer’s life who demonstrates that obeying God is more precious to them than obtaining fame or fortune without Him. It comes from denying your flesh because your love for Christ is greater than your love for the world.

The favor of God was so upon the life of Noah because Noah believed in him when the rest of the world didn’t. God then saved him, spared his family and delivered many of the animals from the worldwide destruction of the flood. (Read Genesis chapters 6-8)

The favor of God was so upon the life of Joseph that after proving that he believed God no matter what situation he found himself in, in one day God took him from the pit in the prison and set him at the right hand of the pharaoh of Egypt. (Read Genesis chapter 41)

Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself while in Babylonian captivity and God’s Favor mightily moved upon his life in many amazing ways. (Read Daniel chapter 1)

Manasseh was the worst king in the history of Jerusalem. Murder, political corruption, bribery, human sacrifices, adultery, idolatry and greed had ravaged Judah, so God rose up the Assyrian enemy. They captured Manasseh, put a hook through his nose, led him like a common slave through the streets with brass chains on and then threw him in the Babylonian prison. But, in 2nd Chronicles chapter 33, Manasseh repented, humbled himself, greatly sought the Lord and God heard his prayers. God so mightily moved in his life that he was set free and then even brought back to the throne in Jerusalem as king of Judah. He then spent the remainder of his years undoing all the things he had previously done to bring honor to God.

Time here would not permit me to speak about the lives of others like Job, Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Gideon, Ruth, Samuel, David, Nehemiah, Esther, Mary the mother of Jesus, the Apostle Paul and so many others throughout biblical history that believed God despite the surrounding circumstances or impossible situations.

But, the Favor of God didn’t end in Biblical times; it still wonderfully continues today. Will you let Christ reign in your heart? Will you permit God to place His hand upon your life? Will you choose to stand up in a fallen down world for Jesus Christ? Will you keep your mind renewed in The Word of God? Will you allow The Holy Spirit of God to direct your path?

Secular history has revealed that God has mightily moved in the lives of farmers, factory workers, shoe salesmen, mothers and housewives, students, soldiers, truck drivers and the list goes on.
God is looking for anyone who will make this life-style commitment to Him. Male or female, young or old, educated or unlearned, cultural background or denominational persuasion doesn’t even matter to God. He’s searching for those that He can spiritually, supernaturally and mightily operate in their lives and reveal Himself to the world through them. Will you say “YES” to the Lord?

Did You Know That God Can Use People Even When They Don’t Know That They’re Being Used By Him?”

One of the revelations that you need to understand and receive from studying scripture is that “There’s Nothing Too Hard For God To Do.”  As The Holy Spirit constantly orchestrates and moves in our world, Christ touches the lives of others around you to impact, influence, affect and even bless your life.  Yes, even if they’re not aware of the invisible presence of God impacting their thoughts or actions in relationship to you.

In 1st Samuel chapter 29, we read of such an account in the life of David.  Out of fear of King Saul, David and his men earlier had fled Israel and moved into the land of the Philistines, who were their enemy.  Then for over 15 months, David worked hard to convince their king that he was now his trusted friend and loyal subject.  And King Achish believed him.

But soon as war again began to arise between The Philistines and Israel, King Achish commanded David to mobilize his men to help fight alongside his men against Israel.

David now had placed himself in a very difficult predicament because he knew to oppose Israel would be to stand against The Lord.  So, as David was nervously trying to figure out a way out of his situation, certain Philistine commanders suddenly remembered his prior victories over them and they became extremely unhappy about David’s presence in their midst.  So, they demanded that the king get rid of them in case his heart still might be with Israel and he begins to sabotage them.

1st Samuel 29:3-4 NIV says,The commanders of the Philistines asked, “What about these Hebrews?” Achish replied, “Is this not David, who was an officer of Saul king of Israel? He has already been with me for over a year, and from the day he left Saul until now, I have found no fault in him.”  But the Philistine commanders were angry with Achish and said, “Send the man back, that he may return to the place you assigned him. He must not go with us into battle, or he will turn against us during the fighting. How better could he regain his master’s favor than by taking the heads of our own men?”

God had divinely intervened by using the Philistine commanders to deliver David and his soldiers from a very dangerous predicament and prevented him from making a costly mistake without them even knowing that they were being used by Him.  God supernaturally moved upon the hearts of others, thereby saving David from making war against his own country.

Often a believer can find himself in the very midst of a difficult situation or painful experience where his only solution is the divine intervention of God through the favor and grace of The Lord.  Remember, when God is all you have, God is all you need.

We must learn to take comfort that in whatever is happening to us, God has not been caught off guard, is still in full control and is directing things for our good.  We may not always understand or even enjoy some of the things we may have to experience, but things have been designed for our good through Christ who loves us.

Now The Holy Spirit of God can touch the heart of others around you to be a blessing of some sort or God will harden the hearts of others to move you into a certain place where you need to be in order to receive from Him.

The same power that touches or softens hearts can also bind hands or harden thoughts against you,but its still God who’s mightily moving in your very midst and divinely orchestrating in your affairs.

Romans 8:28 NASB says,And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Even if a believer gets out of faith like David did, God will supernaturally intervene and employ certain corrective measures to save, protect, deliver, provide for or set you free.

So, whatever’s going on in your life, God will demonstrate His mercy and grace and will do whatever it takes to deliver you out of sin, draw you nearer to Christ, open up wonderful doors, move upon the hearts of others, or separate you from the world as He works to prepare you for eternity with Him.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!
