“Are You Allowing Someone To Talk You Out Of What God Has Revealed To You?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

negative talking 2“Are You Allowing Someone To Talk You Out Of What God Has Revealed To You?”

During these days of satanic entrapments, false prophesying, circus antics, idiocy, insanity, and just plain lying, you must learn and know God’s Word and be led of The Holy Spirit for yourself or you’ll face discouragement, defeat, and destruction.

While I believe in the power of God and the gifts of God’s Holy Spirit, have been used in these areas and have personally witnessed God moving supernaturally in these areas, there are still those who will target and prey upon you by saying:“God told me to tell you or I have a word from the Lord for you.” And they have not been sent by God, and you need to beware of these wolves in sheep’s clothing.

God has been and forever will always be FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD, and it’s there that you must always learn to trust in, rely upon, remain faithful to, and then be watchful, prayerful, and use discernment as you go forward.

In 1st Kings Chapter 13, we are given the story where God had spoken to an unnamed prophet and directed him to go prophesy against the evil king Jeroboam who had built false altars to make people worship idols all throughout the land of Judah. The anointing of God was so upon this prophet that even when Jeroboam attempted to lay his hands on this prophet, the king’s hands miraculously “dried up” and then healed just for him to see, know, and experience God’s power.

But throughout the story, we also learn that God, in his instructions to this unnamed prophet, had told him not to even eat or drink anything until he had completed his mission and had left that land after delivering the message to Jeroboam.

Unfortunately, while this unnamed prophet was faithful in delivering God’s message to the evil king and he had been miraculously used by the hand of God in doing so, on his way out of that land, he allowed Satan to distract him from God’s Words to him.

Tired from his journey, alone, wearied from the heat of the day, hungry from fasting and thirsty, as this unnamed prophet rested for a moment along the side of the road under an oak tree, an older man claiming to also be a prophet approached him with some very appealing, alluring, and persuasive words.

In 1st Kings 13:18 NIV it says,The old prophet answered, ‘I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD, ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’ (But he was lying to him.)”

A false prophet is a presenter of incorrect doctrine or one that will falsely and unjustly lay claim to divine inspiration to lead you astray. We must remember that Satan himself can even appear as an angel of light to bring deception and ruin into our lives.

Satan will bring suggestive thoughts into your mind or send someone directly to you saying: “It’s okay, nobody will know or see you. Everybody’s doing it. An angel sent me to you because you know you have needs. God told me to tell you. Or it’s all right to be religious, but aren’t you taking this thing too far?”

It became totally apparent that an angel of darkness and idolatry came forward to meet this unnamed prophet as an instrument to discredit God’s Word, influence, then detour his mind and mission and then bring destruction into his life.

The unnamed prophet arose, went back into the city with the older prophet, and dined and refreshed himself at his home, all at the great displeasure of God. Then finally, on his way home out of the city, his life was shortened, as he was struck down by a ferocious lion on the main road.

Learn God’s Word for yourself. Walk in obedience to Christ and then you’ll experience the spiritual, supernatural hand of God moving in your life and in your affairs.Yield yourself only to The Holy Spirit’s guidance. Trust in the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge God and He shall direct your path.

“Is Your Shield Up?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

shield 2“Is Your Shield Up?”

Your mind is the battlefield or the playground which Satan targets, bringing thoughts, suggestions and ideas to bring you down. But God has provided you with the necessary equipment not only to withstand our enemy, but to repel and conquer him.

As a believer, your faith MUST BE predicated on what Christ did on the cross, through His Resurrection and on God’s faithfulness to keep His Word. For spiritual strength, tenacious faith and strong courage through The Holy Spirit are needed to be victorious against spiritual warfare today.

Ephesians 6:16 HCSB says, “In every situation take the shield of faith and with it you’ll be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

The Apostle Paul used “faith” to describe the shield because “faith” is descriptive of every characteristic of a believer’s life. Faith is our security in Christ, it protects all, defends all and makes all things possible as a Christian trusts Christ and stands on the promises of God.

When you come under enemy fire, you only need to take shelter behind faith in God’s word and remain confident in the victory that has been given to you through Calvary. If your shield is up, you can stake your life on the faithfulness of your Heavenly Father as you walk by faith and not by sight.

Your shield must remain lifted high until you are done with this warfare and have finished running your course. Since we are partakers of God’s Divine Image, Satan’s assaults are meant to deface God’s image within our hearts and destroy our faith.

If your shield of faith is up, you’ll be able to sustain the worst assaults that the enemy can bring against you. You accomplish this by applying The Word of God, the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus, in faith and under the anointing of The Holy Spirit, against all the attacks of the enemy.

The Roman soldier’s shield was a large oblong thick metallic shield, which would cover the greater part of his body when being attacked. It was held with one hand, so the other hand would be free to swing their sword.

The fiery darts were weapons doused in flammable fluids, constructed to explode on fire upon impact. As long as the soldier held his shield, he felt protected, secure and safe.

Today’s “fiery darts” that your upheld shield will repel and conquer are flaming thoughts, malicious accusations, evil temptations, lustful passions and feelings of rage, hatred, revenge, jealousy, guilt and pride.

These fiery darts are launched towards us with the force of a propelled missile, but if your shield is up, they’ll be blocked and extinguished so you won’t become vulnerable to spiritual defeat.

“Can You See The Light At The End Of The Tunnel?”

Today’s Daily Devotional  from Pastor Andrew Bills

Can You See The Light At The End Of The Tunnel?”

Why does it is easier to see God in the brightness of a beautiful glorious day than it is to trust Him in the darkness of a cold stormy night?  Is He not the same?  Of course He is!

While many begin questioning God and are busy trying to understand why God allows storms and heartache in their lives, our focus should not be on the “WHY” but on Christ Himself, His love, His word, His power and what He can do in our midst.

Although it may appear that you’re being pushed to the limit, the pain, struggles, heartaches and attacks that you’re presently experiencing are in your life to mature your faith and mold you into greatness. For Christ has not forgotten or forsaken you and soon your weeping will turn to joy.

For one of the most comforting verses in all of scripture is found in Matthew 12:20 NIV which says, “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory.”

What is more weak, delicate or feeble than a cracked reed or a wick barely flickering, about to go out?  Even though these characteristics may be used to describe something as useless, it’s more descriptive of His compassion towards us in our weakest hour, state or condition.

A bruised reed depicts those who have been oppressed, beaten up, beaten down, severely wounded and even left for dead by the effects in this sinful world. They are broken by life, damaged in their hearts and minds, and are experiencing helplessness and hopelessness in their present situation.  They are in need of a fresh revelation, a new beginning, with renewed comfort, strength, guidance, stability and victory in their life.

A smoldering wick refers to the wick of an oil lamp or a candle where the flame is exhausted, barely flickering, dying but not yet completely vanquished or dead.

The compassion of Christ is such that He binds up broken hearts, heals wounds, restores and comforts to them back to fullness of life.  For God has promised that He will not neglect, break, be cruel or destroy you, but will forgive, heal, pardon and give new life to all those that trust Him and call on His name.  He will not allow your hope to become extinguished and your faith to become extinct.

Christ will graciously blow His grace upon the smoldering sparks, re-igniting it into a full fiery blaze and never leave you alone until your journey or work has been completed here on earth.   Under the anointing and influence of His Holy Spirit, He will strengthen you onward, making you more than a conqueror over the enemy, until He takes you home.

Yes, not only is there a light at the end of the tunnel for you, but as you look to Jesus, HE IS THE EVER PRESENT LIGHT that is with you no matter how great the darkness surrounding you. And no darkness can or will ever overcome Him.

“Can You Interpret My Dream?”

Today’s Special Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Can You Interpret My Dream?”

Two nights ago, I was awakened after experiencing a remarkable dream……

I dreamed that I was hired as a custodian to clean this large warehouse.  After being given a tour of this large facility, I was directly taken to a very large door at the back of this building.

This door was bolted with several chains and locks, then once opened I was quickly ushered in and given a very small flash light to find my way around.  I was given specific orders to just watch over things.  Then after being given these quick instructions, the manager abruptly left and closed the door behind me.

This very large section was completely dark, as I made my way carefully down the ramp onto the floor with only my very tiny light to direct me. But, there was a smell of death in the air.

Suddenly, I saw cages, hundreds, maybe even thousands of cages which were lined up in multiple rows.   Then, as I looked closer,  I got the shock of my life…..

Within each cage, laid the poor figure of a lion, skinny and weakened from starvation, and emaciated from the lack of water, sunlight, proper care and nourishment. Each lion’s mane was drooping and withered, and their ability to roar seemed lifeless and gone.

I quickly ran back out of that large section and found the manager and inquired as to what was going on?  He angrily told me that the owner of the facility, captured those lions and starves them to death and then skins them.  And with that angry explanation, I was then sent back to watch or guard that huge section.

I decided that it wasn’t right to do this, so for the next few days I secretly smuggled in bread and water to the caged lions.   The lions began to regain their strength, standing upright on all four feet, their manes once again boldly surrounded their faces in full force and with amazing power, they all suddenly began to roar.

The building shook from the trembling of their collective ferocious roars, when suddenly the owner of the warehouse came angrily rushing in.  As he began to violently yell and scream at me, suddenly all the doors of each cage quickly opened and with great sprinting force, the majority of those lions pounced upon the owner destroying him, while a few others surrounded me to safely protect me from any danger.

Then with even greater force, the lions overcame that door that had once held them captive and they all exited that facility, back out into the world.

Suddenly, I awoke from my dream and I sensed the very presence of The Holy Spirit of God, as I sat on the edge of my bed pondering and meditating on this dream.

“Why Did Jesus Tell Us To Remember Lot’s Wife?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

looking back

Why Did Jesus Tell Us To Remember Lot’s Wife?”

In looking back or yearning for yesterday you’ll not only refuse to break away from your past but you’ll be kept from realizing and accepting what God’s trying to do now in your life.

In Luke 17:32, Jesus gave an excellent example of this in warning His followers to “Remember Lot’s Wife.”

In Genesis chapter 19, we read of the story about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by God, the deliverance of Lot’s Family from the city and the destruction of Lot’s wife.   Because her heart still remained in Sodom and she yearned for past things, she met her doom because she failed to adhere to God’s commandment to “run for your life and not to look back.”

In looking back, her heart and soul refused to break away from her past or former life that God was trying to save and deliver her from.

Satan is the master deceiver, who’s always attempting to place desires in your mind to yearn for former sins, past ungodly habits, negative relationships and worldly practices in a move to recreate or return back to those former things.       And looking back will prevent you from entering into the glorious doors that God’s graciously set before  you.

Filled with grief and anxiety for departing, she failed to relinquish rather than abandon her past and as a result, ended up losing her soul by her own choice.

Living in the past will cause hesitation, delay and even failure and will lead to missed opportunities and closed doors from God in your life too.

In using this phrase, Christ was first instructing his disciples not to look back in their flight, or to turn back to their houses, to save their goods, when the desolation of Jerusalem would come upon them.

Additionally, in using this very same statement, The Holy Spirit is warning all believers today, against looking back to things that are behind, or turning their backs on Him, in a time of distress and persecution. Such people, says Christ, are not fit for the kingdom of God and in these God has no delight and pleasure.

Don’t allow your past sins, mistakes, regrets, interests, pleasures or experiences to interfere with your pressing onward in Christ.  Don’t yearn for “yesterday.”  Living in or continually dwelling on the past will lead you off in the wrong direction.

Looking back is wonderful for counting your past blessings, seeing where the Lord has brought you from and being thankful for certain past cherished memories.  But it was never meant for you to become so pre-occupied with or too comfortable in that you would remain fixed, resist change, and refuse to go forward.

The Lord wants to do something new and exciting in and through your life today.  He has placed some new doors in front of you, but you can only arrive and enter in by faith.

Isaiah 43:19 NLT says, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Can You Receive This Special Prophetic Word From The Lord?

“Something that has not been seen or experienced in and through you will occur as you follow Me.  Don’t doubt in your heart, stand on My Word and walk in My Spirit saith God, and I will do amazing and wonderful things in your life that will surpass all that has ever been formerly done.”

“Why Do Some Find It Easier To Listen To Others Than Take God At His Word?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Why Do Some Find It Easier To Listen To Others Than Take God At His Word?”

Johnny was rushed to the hospital, diagnosed by the attending physician, and given the following definite medication instructions: “Take this medicine without fail three times a day until it’s all gone.” So without giving it a second thought, his parents completely followed his doctor’s orders until he totally recovered.

Well, just as it took time for Johnny’s medicine to take effect, you need to give God’s Word in your life time to take effect and render changes in your circumstances. If you’ll give His Word the same opportunity that Johnny gave his doctor’s prescription, then your life too will never be the same again.

Why is it that people find it easier to listen and believe their doctors, lawyers, and even their friend’s advice instead of taking God at His Word? Well, some have suggested that waiting on the Lord isn’t easy.  Secondly, many have placed their confidence in something or someone that they can physically see rather than trusting in an invisible or distant god.

While waiting on the Lord isn’t easy or at times may even appear to be very uncomfortable, the scriptures are empathically clear that God always hears and answers prayer and what you truly need is a daily dosage of The Word of God into your heart and spirit.  Secondly, if you believe that He’s too distant from you, it’s only because you’ve moved or turned away from Him.  He will be as close to you as you will allow Him to be in your life.

Too often people want a quick fix, an immediate remedy cure, or even a magic wand to be waved over them with the special magician’s words, “abracadabra,” without having to change your life and repent from your sins.

But having faith, feeding on and learning to take God at His Word is just what’s been divinely prescribed by our Heavenly Father, who is THE GREAT PHYSICIAN.

Now, at times our attention can be misdirected, selfish, lustful, or so fixed upon our desire or need so much that our focus actually shifts away from seeking Christ to seeking things.  God IS NOT in the business of just handing out gifts, HE’S IN the business of saving, delivering, and changing lives.  And The Word of God will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Word of God.

Remember the words that The Holy Spirit declared in Hebrews 11:6 NIV, “Those that come to God must first believe that He is and that He’s a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.”

Some situations may exist where God waits only because the timing isn’t right or when He wants to stretch and mature our faith. While He’s orchestrating in your life and affairs, certain things may need to be rightly positioned or altered. While in some other instances, other people’s thinking may even need to be changed towards you. At other times, many have wrongful, selfish, or impure motives or are persisting in a lifestyle of disobedience or living in habitual sin and God is calling for repentance and turning to Him.

While these are just a few reasons for delays, one thing is absolutely certain, that faith in God’s Word and trust in The Lord Jesus Christ are needed. So continue to stand in faith and learn to always take God at His Word.

“If Something Is Done In The Name Of Jesus, Does That Always Mean That Jesus Approves?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

If Something Is Done In The Name Of Jesus, Does That Always Mean That Jesus Approves?”

No, it does not!  “Then What Are Some Of The Warning Signs Of Wolves In Sheep Clothing?”

Our world is filled with people who are deceivers, imposters and fakers. Their goal  is self-glory and they come across as false prophets, con-artists, and wolves in sheep clothing.  Their only motives are to fleece the flock, to promote their own selfish agendas and to deceive the people.  There have been many terrible things occur throughout the history of the church that are clear deviations from the teachings of Christ and His Apostles,  performed by spiritual gold-diggers that have used the name of Jesus Christ in unimaginable ways.

They have wrecked homes, destroyed families, seized assets, stolen from widows, broken relationships, split churches, and caused multitudes of others to blaspheme God.These came through their selfish interests, false prophesying, deceptive tricks, phony healings, and fake anointed miracles, all while invoking the name of The Lord.

That’s one reason that you must learn and study the Word of God, be lead by The Holy Spirit, and have an intimate, personal fellowship with Christ. Doing so will help you so you will be able to discern or distinguish frauds, and not fall prey to their deceptive antics.

In Matthew 7: 22-23 Jesus said, “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you evildoers!”

What an awful and sobering picture that is!  On Judgment Dad, people who claimed to cast out devils will themselves be cast to the devil, in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

In Acts  10: 13-16 NIV God allowed the following story to become publicly witnessed and recorded in scripture as a warning to many….  It says, “Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”  Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.  One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”  Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.”

These Jews, who wandered from place to place, thought they could conduct exorcisms by merely duplicating Paul’s words or actions.

So they thought, if they could use the name of Jesus, like the magic expression “ab-ra-ca-da-bra,” they would have the same results as The Apostle Paul. They  believed these exorcisms would become a wealthy source of income for them because of all the demonic individuals throughout that land.

Satan knows if Christ is dwelling in your life, if you’re being led of The Holy Spirit, walking in the anointing and if you have credibility with God.   The powers of darkness know if you have a personal relationship with Christ and have “Son-ship Rights of Authority.”

These seven brothers found out the hard way that one demon-possessed man with extraordinary power and rage, could overpower, strip them of their clothing, beat them shamefully and have them running down the street naked, wounded and bleeding.

These impostors could not work miracles, and after they exposed themselves to the rage of evil spirits, their failure only served to extend the power of the gospel.  Fear fell on all of the people, so that others were deterred from making such further attempts.

And present-day deceivers will not get away with their deception! Regardless of their results in gathering large assemblies of people, raising money and selling products through deceptive means, and even becoming financially prosperous, they will not succeed eternally. It may seem to the human eye as if they are getting away with it. BUT THEY WILL NOT CONTINUE TO STAND.

The Lord Jesus Christ will have the final “say-so” or final word in every individual’s life.  And it should be your greatest desire to hear our Lord Jesus Christ say “WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.”

“Did You Know That God Can Use People Even When They Don’t Know That They’re Being Used By Him?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

girls comforting

Did You Know That God Can Use People Even When They Don’t Know That They’re Being Used By Him?”

One of the revelations that you need to understand and receive from studying scripture is that “There’s Nothing Too Hard For God To Do.”  As The Holy Spirit constantly orchestrates and moves in our world, Christ touches the lives of others around you to impact, influence, affect and even bless your life.  Yes, even if they’re not aware of the invisible presence of God impacting their thoughts or actions in relationship to you.

In 1st Samuel chapter 29, we read of such an account in the life of David.  Out of fear of King Saul, David and his men earlier had fled Israel and moved into the land of the Philistines, who were their enemy.  Then for over 15 months, David worked hard to convince their king that he was now his trusted friend and loyal subject.  And King Achish believed him.

But soon as war again began to arise between The Philistines and Israel, King Achish commanded David to mobilize his men to help fight alongside his men against Israel.

David now had placed himself in a very difficult predicament because he knew to oppose Israel would be to stand against The Lord.  So, as David was nervously trying to figure out a way out of his situation, certain Philistine commanders suddenly remembered his prior victories over them and they became extremely unhappy about David’s presence in their midst.  So, they demanded that the king get rid of them in case his heart still might be with Israel and he begins to sabotage them.

1st Samuel 29:3-4 NIV says,The commanders of the Philistines asked, “What about these Hebrews?” Achish replied, “Is this not David, who was an officer of Saul king of Israel? He has already been with me for over a year, and from the day he left Saul until now, I have found no fault in him.”  But the Philistine commanders were angry with Achish and said, “Send the man back, that he may return to the place you assigned him. He must not go with us into battle, or he will turn against us during the fighting. How better could he regain his master’s favor than by taking the heads of our own men?”

God had divinely intervened by using the Philistine commanders to deliver David and his soldiers from a very dangerous predicament and prevented him from making a costly mistake without them even knowing that they were being used by Him.  God supernaturally moved upon the hearts of others, thereby saving David from making war against his own country.

Often a believer can find himself in the very midst of a difficult situation or painful experience where his only solution is the divine intervention of God through the favor and grace of The Lord.  Remember, when God is all you have, God is all you need.

We must learn to take comfort that in whatever is happening to us, God has not been caught off guard, is still in full control and is directing things for our good.  We may not always understand or even enjoy some of the things we may have to experience, but things have been designed for our good through Christ who loves us.

Now The Holy Spirit of God can touch the heart of others around you to be a blessing of some sort or God will harden the hearts of others to move you into a certain place where you need to be in order to receive from Him.

The same power that touches or softens hearts can also bind hands or harden thoughts against you,but its still God who’s mightily moving in your very midst and divinely orchestrating in your affairs.

Romans 8:28 NASB says,And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Even if a believer gets out of faith like David did, God will supernaturally intervene and employ certain corrective measures to save, protect, deliver, provide for or set you free.

So, whatever’s going on in your life, God will demonstrate His mercy and grace and will do whatever it takes to deliver you out of sin, draw you nearer to Christ, open up wonderful doors, move upon the hearts of others, or separate you from the world as He works to prepare you for eternity with Him.

“Did You Know That if You’re Hurting Then Christ Hurts Too?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Did You Know That if You’re Hurting Then Christ Hurts Too?”

During His earthly life, Jesus Christ was never a stranger to temptation, sorrow, loneliness, heartache, suffering, rejection and pain.  Then upon The Cross, Jesus allowed Himself to be forsaken by God so He could say, “I know what it feels like, I’ve been there too.”

Hebrews 4:15 NASB saysFor we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

Our Lord knows about our pain and is always moved by the same things that distress us.  Our Lord, having taken on our human nature, flesh and blood, a human body and a human soul and having lived a human life, today is not without feelings, while being Our Great High Priest.

Therefore, Our High Priest is NOTsome cold, unfeeling, uncaring, heartless, untouchable, distant or abstract personality or being.  NO!  HE IS abundantly qualified to sympathize with us in our afflictions and THE ONE to whom we can look to for aid and support throughout our trials in life.

If we had a high priest who was cold, indifferent and uncaring, THEN WHY are there so many promises regarding salvation, forgiveness, grace, hearing and answering prayer, comforting the broken hearted, deliverance, healing, giving peace during troubling times, providing needs, and giving strength and hope during the dark times in our lives?

Why would He have sent The Holy Spirit to continually help, assist, teach and guide us?  Why would He continually dispatch His holy angels to be ministering spirits to stand with us along the way?

Years ago, my step-mother laid in a coma with different tubes being connected to her frail body for monitoring pain medication and verifying her vitals, having been diagnosed with cancer throughout her body.   Throughout life, we didn’t always agree on many things and weren’t as close as we could have been, especially after the death of my father years earlier.

I was a pastor of a small church and also worked as a truck driver and after returning back very late from my route, she was mightily on my mind and I felt led to go to the hospital to see her.  It was beyond visiting hours and just past midnight when I arrived.  But, after explaining who I was and that I also was a pastor, the hospital staff allowed me to enter her room.

As I gazed down at her lying in that coma, I then turned to looked out the side window at the beautiful star-lite night and I prayed, “Lord, if I could just speak to her one more time I would tell her that I am sorry and that I really do love her.”

Suddenly, I heard a movement and she opened her eyes and looking at me said, “Daddy?”  That’s was her loving pet name that she’d called my father and I had the honor of looking just like him.

With tears streaming down my face I said, “No, dear it’s Junior and I want you to know how much I really love you.”   As she starred at me, for the last time she spoke, “Junior, I love my Junior.”  And with a wonderful smile that I’ll never forget, her frail body sank back into the sheets and went back to sleep.  And before sunrise that morning, she went to be with Our Lord.

I will never forget that encounter or experience and the wonderful grace of Christ.  He had allowed her to briefly come out of that coma to commune with me for that special and priceless last time.  And how wonderful it was to my soul.

My friends, one cannot live for God without encountering and being affected by His love, His mercy and His Wonderful Grace.  As believers in Christ, we do not remember or worship one who only just lived and died.

No, we worship, serve and continually have faith in He who once died but IS RISEN and IS ALMIGHTY and as Our High Priest, is very concerned about and is interactive in our lives today.

“Do You Find Yourself Doing Things You Feel The Need To Hide?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Do You Find Yourself Doing Things You Feel The Need To Hide?”

We’ve come to live in a world where anything goes.  “If it feels good, do it, and let the good times roll” are continuing to be the worldly philosophies of this life.

There are many who are reading steamy, alluring love books, watching X-rated movies and are clinging onto pornographic materials that they would be highly embarrassed if discovered and too ashamed to talk about at church.

Then you’ve entered into darkness which violates Christian Faith principles, your spiritual code of ethics and it can end up costing you dearly.

Is the life you’re living worth the price that Christ paid upon Calvary?  Aren’t we as believers instructed and encouraged to pick up our cross and follow Him daily?

There are those who actually think, believe, or act as if The Lord can’t see their sin if they try and hide it under a cloak of darkness or perform it in a locked room, but can any of your activities be concealed from His all-seeing eye?

Can anyone entertain displeasing thoughts and believe that He won’t know the intentions of your heart?

1st John 1:6 NIV says,If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.”

The Apostle John, under the anointing of The Holy Spirit of God, says if you’re walking, living, and continually practicing sin, then you’re living a lie and walking in error.

The leading thought is that if you live in sin, it’s evidence and proof that your life is a contradiction, denoting that you’re ignorant of the righteousness of Christ, walking in blindness and unbelief and therefore a stranger to The Spirit of God.

Then this makes the person who lives in habitual sin a false professor, a pretender, one living in deception and it’s hard to believe that such a person could be a Christian.

How can a person who is not a partaker of God’s divine nature ever believe that they are going to heaven?

How can a person participate in some Christian rites without ever receiving the love of Christ in their heart, without knowing the peace of God in their mind and the joy of The Holy Spirit in their life?

Eternal life through Jesus Christ means to have been washed from our sins in His blood.  And in this dark world, we who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ and are led by the Spirit of God, must know that we are representing the nature of God and His Word through our ongoing lifestyle.

If you try to hide yourself or attempt to cover up or keep secret your activities, the devil will additionally expose you to further ruin your character, credibility, respectability and relationships.

No attempt to disguise yourself will profit.   And there’s no art of concealment that you can entertain or conduct that will hide you from God or prevent you from reaping what you’ve sown.

It costs something to miss out on all the so-called fun that everyone in the world is having.  But it costs something to make the decision not to walk with the world and live for Christ.  And the rewards for following Christ and living a Godly lifestyle are simply and eternally wonderful.
