Daily Devotional – “What Is The Greatest Proof Of The Reality Of God?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

transforming power of God

What Is The Greatest Proof Of The Reality Of God?”

Was it the discovery of Noah’s Ark or the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls?  Is it the continual rising of the sun over the horizon every beautiful morning, the synchronized orbiting of all the planets and stars throughout our universe or the majestic display of the waterfalls in some of our beautiful forests or parks?

No, it’s all of the lives that have “TRANSFORMED”  by The Love, Power and The Grace of God.

When we were dead in our sins, doing our own thing, unworthy of divine notice, He made the provision for our salvation.    We who had no time for Him or no love to return to Him were TRANSFORMED,” infused with the life of His Son, made a partaker of His Divine Nature and now have insight and favor with God.  We now live and reign with Christ and are joint-heirs with Him.

Christ’s resurrection from the grave is our resurrection from our sins unto spiritual life in God.

This TRANSFORMATION is the work of God in the human heart of man and cannot be obtain no other way, except through Christ.  We were “quickened or made alive” when our spirit was brought to life.  Now our inner nature and character has been changed from death unto life.

Ephesians 2: 4-5 NIV says, “Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.  It is by grace you have been saved.”

Through the love of the unchangeable and sovereign God, and the transforming living power of Jesus Christ, trouble makers have become peace makers, abusers have been made responsible people, racists are now building bridges wonderfully to touch lives in other cultures and drug addicts that have been delivered are teaching others to beware of these demonic forces.

More people are picking up the Word of God to study and hear God’s Holy Spirit that used to be involved in all other types of sinful activities, with some even being the promoters of such.

Criminals have surrendered their lives of crime and are now preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, men are becoming more responsible in the parenting responsibilities and many are seeking God’s face for welfare and lifestyle.

Wherever there have been a natural catastrophe, The Church and many other Christian led organizations or agencies are some of the first on the scene to come to the aid of the hurting and suffering.

Please listen very carefully….  When a person is dead in their sins, there is no life in their soul.  It’s like looking upon a corpse from which life has departed.  There’s nothing left but the ruins of that deceased person.

But as a sinner becomes “TRANSFORMED” become a living soul as their spirit is born or made alive.  We are delivered from sin, pardoned, reconciled and justified by God’s Grace through Jesus Christ.

While we believers never are “perfect” people, those that have been “TRANSFORMED”  do not go out and practice or live in habitual sin because your desire is to live to please God.

These things are not bought to pass by any thing that is done by you, it is the “free gift of God” as we are quickened by His Power.

The saving, forgiving, delivering, healing and transforming power of God is greatest and the most awesome power that you can ever know.  And remember, while salvation is free, IT CERTAINLY DIDN’T COME CHEAP!

Daily Devotional – “Which Came First – The Chicken Or The Egg?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

the thinker

Which Came FirstThe Chicken Or The Egg?”

Have you ever met self-made “brainiacs” who will even try to impress you that they’re smarter than God?

While out in a public place one day, I over heard this man ask that question to another person.  Sensing his spirit of pride, I interjected my humble but unexpected answer.

“According to the Bible, in Genesis chapter 1, God created all the animals.  So obviously the chicken and a rooster came first because they were both needed in order to produce eggs.”

I’m always seeking for a way of introduction into any conversation or to start a new conversation whenever I’m in a line at the post office, supermarket, bank or the Department of Motor Vehicles.  There are so many wonderful ways to share Christ and The Word of God.

“Interesting,” said the man with the spirit of pride.  “But I have another question:  If a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one there to hear it, does it make a noise?”

Immediately, I recognized the arrogant spirit of pride that I was facing as The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance a verse from The New Testament.

In 2nd Timothy 2:23 NIV, The Apostle Paul said, “Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid questions or arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.”

Ignorant here does not mean uneducated.  The word “foolish, ignorant, stupid or unlearned” here simply means “TRIFLING,” or that which does not lead to edification.   And it reveals those that are arrogant and filled with pride.

Preaching, teaching, witnessing or giving godly counsel is The Lord’s method of sharing and dealing with those in sin, unbelief and error.  The same God who gives truth, by His grace can open up hearts to acknowledge and receive it unless that individual is dead set in his ways to rebel against it.   But quarreling or arguing is not God’s way for it will only lead to counter-active result and fighting.

Nothing can be more emphatic than The Apostle Paul’s warnings against foolish and silly questions and controversies in this realm as he gives instructions that such ought to be avoided, publicly and privately.  Foolish questions are only aimed at breaking your peace and are a further attempt to hinder the progress of your sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Greeks and the Hebrews were greatly given to controversies of various kinds, and many of the questions discussed pertained to points which could not be settled or were of no importance.  Such are to be avoided.

Those that are caught up in themselves are a snare because they belong to the devil and are a slave to him through the spirit of pride.

I encourage you to continue to share and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ but don’t allow yourself to be “side-tracked” by foolish, argumentative or trifling questions straight from the pit of darkness.  Shake the dust off your feet and move on to speak to others about our wonderful Savior and Lord.

Daily Devotional – “Are You Missing A Lot Of Different Body Parts?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

unity in the body

Are You Missing A Lot Of Different Body Parts?”

Years ago, I grew up watching the western television series “The  Lone Ranger.”  He was a masked ex-Texas Ranger, who with his trusted Indian friend, Tonto, fought injustice throughout the Old West.  With his trademark white stallion Silver, and his special made silver bullets, it was quite a thrill to watch as they galloped off, when someone would eventually ask, “Who was that masked man?”

While that series was successful during it’s era, somehow that “Lone Ranger Mentality” has crept into different areas of our society.  And this “Lone Ranger Mentality” is not part of God’s program and has no place in the local church or the whole body of Christ.

Now, there are 2 main areas that are important to address here:  The first is to those who think that they should stay home, apart and separate from any local Church, believing that they can obtain revelations, visions, dreams and everything else they need by staying home.  This IS NOT the teaching from The New Testament!!!

Then secondly, but equally as important, are those who call themselves believers, but who promote division, hatred, racism, bias and denominational prejudice within the body of Christ.

In 1st Corinthians 12: 12-31, The Apostle Paul, to enlighten all believers,  discusses the issue of unity among the believers, mutual participation in the body, the importance of mutual dependence of every individual member in the body and the various gifts of the Spirit.

In these verses of Scripture, The Church is being compared to a human body and all of its members, with Christ being The Head of this one body.

It’s through the regenerated work of The Holy Spirit that all believers are made members of the body of Christ.  Then each one of us have been given a designated place from our Lord and have been made fit for His usage, for the good of the whole body.

While each one of us are distinctly different from one another, we are all dependent upon one another and are expected to do our part to support and keep the body moving forward.   If all believers would visualize and heed to this then there wouldn’t be divisions, quarreling and strife between the different members of the same body.

For the eye should never despise the ear or regard it as less valuable than itself.  Therefore no member of the body of Christ, which is the Church,  however feeble, illiterate, obscure or impoverished should be treated as such.  For we are all one in Christ and needful in our individual places of operation as we are empowered by His Holy Spirit.

An eye all alone cannot function as a body because it’s missing a lot of other body parts.

There would be more harmony and unity within the body and we would be more effective against the demonic forces that work overtime to keep us divided.

Ephesians 4:4-6 says, “There is one body and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.  One Lord, one faith, one baptism.  One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all.”

Remember, we will be recognized by the love of God through Christ that is visibly demonstrated through our lives, to the glory of God our Heavenly Father.

Daily Devotional – Do You Hate The “F” Word As Much As I Do?

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Do You Hate The “F” Word As Much As I Do?

I cringe every time I hear the “F” word.  The obvious reason is that my physical body and Satan doesn’t want me to do it.

But FASTING is one of the most profitable, beneficial and spiritual ways that helps render the flesh as being dead so that the inner or spirit man may grow in Christ, be delivered from the various demonic attacks, receive inspirational or revelation from God and experience His Resurrection Power in your surroundings.

Fasting is a personal, or an agreed upon time with other believers, expression of sincere devotion when seeking God and walking by faith within Christianity.  It is the abstaining from foods, and other pleasures like watching television shows, talking with friends over the telephone or reading newspapers, that you may experience the divine intervention of God.  It is and always must be an act of worship where hearts are set on seeking The Lord first.

The true focus of fasting MUST NOT BE on the abstaining from food and longing for what you’re lacking, instead it MUST BE to take your eyes off the tings of this world to concentrate completely on The Lord.  So denying our flesh is one of the ways to show God that we are serious about seeking His Face.  But fasting before The Lord should not every be considered a just a “method for dieting or losing weight.”  Again, it is temporarily giving up something in order to draw closer to God and have Him move mightily in your life.

While it should never be done from your heart to be seen just to convince others of “your spirituality,” it’s a very special time, that you specifically schedule or set apart to seek The Lord, study and meditate in His Word, pray without ceasing and listen to The Holy Spirit of God.  And what you seek in private, He’s promised to reward you openly.

Fasting with prayer usually results with The Holy Spirit moving in some of the most usual and dynamic ways in the midst of God’s people.  Closed doors have been opened, prayers answered, direction given, enemies overcame, bodies healed, revivals born, weather conditions changed and lives dramatically delivered by the awesome power of The Living Christ as a result of fasting and prayer.

When Jesus was talking with His disciples He taught them about fasting and made it known that it was be expected that His disciples would fast (Matthew 6:16-18).

Then Jesus told his disciples, after they had failed to cast the demonic spirit out a man’s son that had been brought to Him, “that this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21)

While the Bible has various examples of one-day, three-day, seven-day and even forty-day fasts (Judges 20:26, Esther 4:16, 1 Samuel 31:13 and Matthew 4 respectively), your fast MUST ALWAYS be accompanied or surrounded with prayer.

Again, fasting always helps you take your eyes off the things in this world so you can be more successful in turning your focus to Jesus Christ and be victoriously led by The Holy Spirit of God.

Daily Devotional – “Are You Following The Yellow Brick Road?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

follow the yellow brick road shoes

Are You Following The Yellow Brick Road?”

In 1939, a motion picture was made that would have a great impact upon our world called, “The Wizard Of Oz.”  While it’s a treasured classic to untold millions, its underlying message is of greater value as Dorothy spends the entire movie just trying to get back home.

Initially Dorothy had run away from home but an unforeseen tornado resulted in her going to a foreign land.  Once there, Dorothy thought she had been brought to a place in which she felt ill-prepared but all she really lacked in her life was DIRECTION.

Maybe you’re seeking for a new fresh start, a new beginning or a dramatic change in your immediate circumstances.  Maybe you’re seeking for a new employment or business opportunity, a new community environment to reside in or even a new relationship.  But you don’t have to run away or try to escape to make changes in your life or circumstances.  All you need is “DIRECTION.”

All you need is to seek God’s face, walk in His Word and then you’ll experience His Divine Intervention, Grace and the leading of His Holy Spirit.

God can and wants to provide direction in your life to develop you from where you are.  But, you’re going to have to learn to lean on and trust The Lord. Remember if you want to get to the Promised Land you first must learn to follow Him.  As you start to follow Him, you’ll begin taking the first steps towards recovery or having a brand new beginning.

Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 says, “Trust in The Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.”

When Dorothy landed in Oz, she was given the wonderful instructions to “Follow The Yellow Brick Road,” and was advised never to detour from it.  Then along the way, she made some new friends of great diversity, but she also encountered some new enemies.

As we journey through life we’ll also meet people of different personalities, skin tones, cultural backgrounds, hair textures, intellectual differences, style preferences, and theological variances.  But by trusting Christ, you’ll learn how to distinguish those who will become friends that will help or encourage you from those that are predators sent into your midst to lead you astray, discourage, defeat or try to destroy you.

God wants to guide you on your journey and do wonderful and amazing things in and through your life.  The pathway for you is always forward in faith from wherever you are.  Your walk of faith will not be a quick sprint or a magic carpet ride but a life-long journey of obedience, fellowship and trusting in The Lord.  And as you do those things, He Will bring you safely home.

Daily Devotional – “Did You Know That This Is God’s Plan For Your Life?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

man in rowboat

Did You Know That This Is God’s Plan For Your Life?”

Picture yourself in this rowboat. Please notice that you have an oar to the left and an oar to the right of you. Let’s name the oar on the left as faith and the other oar as works.”

How far do you think you’d get just using one oar only?

If you use only one oar, you’ll just continue to go around in circles, never getting anywhere.  But if you use both oars, then your boat can successfully be navigated in any direction.

Therefore, one of the greatest insights for victorious Christian living is found in the book of James.  James 2:26 NASB saysFor just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”

As the body and soul are united as one to define life within a person, so much so that faith and faithful activities or works are used to define the life of a born again and spirit filled believer in Christ.

If good works are NOT being performed, it’s clear evidence that there’s no true and proper spiritual life or faith.  For if faith produces no fruit, then it’s dead.  Now, James isn’t arguing against having real and genuine faith.  No!!!  Because all believers are justified through faith in Christ.

But, under the anointing of The Holy Spirit, James is declaring that genuine faith will always result in or be accompanied by good works.   As The Holy Spirit gives life to a believer, the love and grace of God through Christ stimulates us to walk by faith and then motivates us to righteous actions or activities.

We should devote ourselves and all that we have unto The Lord and His service in appreciation for what great things He has done in our hearts and souls.

Jesus himself declared in John 15:2,Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.”

Our Lord was declaring that “Everyone that is a true follower of me, that is united to me by faith, and that truly derives grace and strength from me, as the branch does from the vine, will have The Life Of My Spirit within them, to continue doing my will just as l lived to please My Father.”

The more a believer exercises faith in Christ, the more he or she is strengthened in their belief.  The more he believes, the more he receives; and the more he receives, the more enabled he becomes in his work for God.

Obedience becomes his sheer delight, not to obtain the applause of man but to please his Lord and Savior for the love and grace shown towards him.  Then because of God’s love in his heart, he is now allowing Christ to work through him towards other men.  And this now becomes one of the main elements in which his soul lives to do.

Daily Devotional – “Are You Ignoring Your Warning Signs?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

warning signs

Are You Ignoring Your Warning Signs?”

Jim is driving his car but is failing to listen to his engine because he’s only concerned about his destination and how fast he can get there.

Suddenly, the car jerks, the lights on the dash all come on, there’s a loud rattle under the car, smoke begins to steam from the hood as the car breaks down and he’s forced to pull over to the side of the road and be left stranded. He ignored the noise in his engine, and also that the tires were going bald, losing air and that his tank was particularly empty. But, things didn’t have to end up this like this.

Now, in the very same way, we are often like Jim, losing our focus, misplacing our priorities, deceiving ourselves, lowering our standards, not willing to admit when something is going wrong and not willing to make changes until its too late.

The attitude, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is NOT good common sense but a distraction against routine examinations or constant care.  That mentality is also the enemy of spiritual wisdom and innovation, especially when there’s a need for change, growth and advancement.

The Apostle Paul said, in 2nd Corinthians 13:5 NIV, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.  Don’t you realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?

Are you really walking by faith and trusting The Lord Jesus Christ?  Are you living a life that’s pleasing to God?  Are you walking in His Will and allowing Him to direct your actions through His Holy Spirit as you stand on His Word?  Are you trusting Christ to be your true Source?

Ignoring warning signs or signals can lead to yielding to temptation, experiencing great suffering and can even prove to be fatal. Listen and pay close attention, follow the leading of God’s Holy Spirit and fully surrender to Christ and His Word. Know that God has always had your best interests in His heart and mind.

As you’re walking in faith, learning to be “pro-active” will always have a greater effect instead of not identifying a problem and then waiting for it to get out of control. Start by paying closer attention, even to what’s not obvious, with things that aren’t broke or aren’t a problem yet.  Seek the face of God, learn to be more creative and even think “outside of the box” as you seek to do a work for the Lord.

Yes, things left unchecked will cause you great anguish, bitter defeat and even bring total ruin. You need to realize that you are not invincible and there are no exceptions to the rules. Much can be avoided if you will start to pay closer attention, listen to the noises, follow the warning signs and take preventive measures to remain in good condition and strong fellowship in Christ.

Make the time to keep your mind renewed, just like a car needs a periodic check-up or service. You must take some quality time and look under your hood. So, Keep God’s Word ever before you, maintain a prayer relationship with God, walk in faith and again follow the leading of The Holy Spirit.

Daily Devotional – A Personal Note From Pastor Andrew

bible 5

To All Readers, Listeners, Viewers, Christian Friends, Family, Pastors  & Bishops

On this past Wednesday, 8-14-13 The Lord wonderfully touched and healed my body in a beautiful way.

Bishop Baron Alas had came to be the guest preacher on my TV & Internet Broadcast on Wednesday.   He had also invited other Pastors and Bishops to come and listen and also participate in the broadcast.

The presence of God’s Holy Spirit was strong and very presence in the church building, before the videotaping, during the one hour program and even after the programming.

The gift of prophesy was greatly in demonstrating as special words were shared and revealed in our very midst.

Other than my wife, Ann Marie, nobody….  I absolutely mean “NOBODY” other than The Lord knew that, even as I have been conducting all my ministry activities, I have been standing in faith for the manifestation of healing in my body from a condition that was leaving me drained and exhausted especially with sleepless nights.

Suddenly, one of the visiting pastors, Pastor Michael Hodges from New Height’s Ministries in Rialto, California spoke that God wanted me healed of:  “And he named the exact or precise condition that I had been suffering with.”   Again, nobody, I mean NOBODY knew it but me, my wife and The Lord Jesus Christ.

Bishop Alas, Pastor Hodges and all of the other wonderful spirit-led pastors and bishop all laid their hands and me and The Living Lord, through The Power of His Holy Spirit, miraculously healed me.   “Needless to say that we had “Church after the Church Service.”   PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I wanted to share with all of you that The Lord is still very real in our world today, His Word is still our sure foundation and He’s moving mightily by His Holy Spirit.

Have Faith In God and don’t be moved by the appearances of things that are surrounding you.  BE LED AND MOVED BY GOD!

And know that He is always faithful to His Promises and He’s orchestrating in your very midst, even right now…..    So, Have Faith In God!

We will all be re-gathering again this coming Wednesday 8-21-13 at 11am at my church location for another ministry and videotaping session and all are welcome to come.  But if you can’t attend, please send a prayer request as a reply email, so we can lift you up in prayer.

Yours In Christ,

Pastor Andrew Bills

Daily Devotional – “Have You Ever Had A Dream But Never Acted On It?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

pursuing your dreams

Have You Ever Had A Dream But Never Acted On It?”

Have you ever had good intentions but never took the first step towards implementing them?  Before your dreams become lost and irretrievable, isn’t it time for you to be healed and spiritually refreshed so you can recapture your vision and find greater purpose and fulfilled joy?

Wherever you find yourself in life, there is always room for improvements.  And God is now calling you to go forward because He has something more for you.

It doesn’t matter what you have achieved, accomplished or attained, there’s an exciting new challenge ahead for you with new victories to be won.  And you need to be pursuing that dream that God has placed within your heart.

In Deuteronomy 1: 6 & 8, God said to Moses and Israel, “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.  It is time to break camp and move on.  Go…  Look, I Am giving all this land to you.”

God spoke to Moses at Mt. Horeb and told him that the nation of Israel had stayed too long at that place and that it was time to arise and move forward.

For one year they sat at the foot of that mountain after their departure from Egypt.  Even though there they received The Law, made The Tabernacle and they were all numbered and prepared for battle, they had grown used to where they were; perhaps even thinking it was their permanent home.   But God ordered them to move onward because God had something else greater and better in store for them:  “The Promised Land.”

Just like the Israelites, too many believers become accustomed to their daily routine or rut.   You have become too use to the place that The Lord only wanted you to pass through, but never to remain at.  He has something far greater, glorious, awesome and more exciting in store for you, so it’s now time to arise because you can’t get there unless you first leave where you are.

It’s time for you to arise and step out in faith and leave the place of certainty for uncertainty.  It’s time to launch out into the deep and leave your familiar place or comfort zone, for you have sat where you are too long.

Now Christ has given believers everything that we’ll ever need to face every new challenge and spiritual battle on this side of eternity.  All you need to do is to allow The Holy Spirit to direct your path, believe His Word, step out in faith, begin to do the things that you’ve envisioned, stop making excuses and never look back.

Remember, you’ll never achieve unless you fully believe.  And it’s God’s Will for you to go and possess new lands.

Daily Devotional – “Are You A Person After God’s Own Heart?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Heart of God

Are You A Person After God’s Own Heart?”

Is God the main focus in your life?  Are you a person after God’s own heart?  “My will” or “God’s will,” which road have you chosen?

Countless people are spending hours tending to their bodies, trying to recapture their youthful look, making improvements to their physical appearance, while spending a fortune on cosmetics, creams, dyes, diets and other solutions.

Now, while there’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing these things, if you only focus and work on caring for and feeding your flesh, then all you will ever get are temporary fleshly results.   Then at the end you’ll discover that, while you pampered and entertained the flesh, your spirit man withered away or remained dead to Christ.

But, if you’ll seek His face and walk in His Word, then you’ll experience the dynamics of The Holy Spirit in your life and have rewarding results and eternal blessings in your life.

In Acts 13:22 it says,“After God had removed Saul, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, ‘I HAVE FOUND DAVID the son of Jesse, A MAN AFTER MY HEART, who will do all My will.”

While King Saul started out as a man that appeared to acknowledge God, it was clearly revealed by his actions that was a man of the flesh.   He did things that he wanted to do, he followed the dictates of his own fleshly mind and he was influenced by the forces of darkness which finally led him to fall in ruin and defeat.  God, through His Prophet Samuel had given King Saul many chances to do what was right but his continual performance and his failure to believe God revealed his true character and proved otherwise.

Now, while David wasn’t perfect, his heart truly longed to please The Lord.  He sought His forgiveness, he sought to walk in His ways, he knew His mercy and he made God his priority in his life.

Obedience is the key to the miraculous and living a life that pleases God has better and far more reaching results than one could ever imagine.
