Daily Devotional – “Do You Really Know Just How Much The Father Loves You?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Trust Me

Do You Really Know Just How Much The Father Loves You?

We had just returned from visiting and playing with our 18 month old grandson who’s a strong bundle of energy and a human dynamo that completely wore us out.

While his language only consists of words like, “No” or “Mom,” he would grab me by my finger and pull me until I would get up and follow him to the piano. There he climbed upon the bench and again pulled on my finger until I sat down next to him. Then he began to “bang away” on the piano keys and try to loudly sing.

Then, I struck one key and began to sing that note until he joined in. With his head tilted back, his eyes brightly shinning, and his wonderful smiling face, we then seemed to sing together in almost absolute perfect harmony. Suddenly, as I looked down into his face, I sensed My Heavenly Father say to my heart, Just like you love Him, I love you more than you will ever know.”

Immediately, I was completely overwhelmed and tears began to rapidly flow as I meditated on those words and continued to gaze down at my grandson. As I was greatly blessed during this moment of revelation, I no longer could sing and began to tightly hug and love on my grandson.

Suddenly, I recalled those dear famous words from John 3:16-17,“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.”

Many people don’t know, don’t care, or don’t understand the love that God has for them. But God has your best interests always in His heart and desires to do great and wonderful things in you, through you and by you in this world.

But many shut The Lord out of their lives after breathing His air, drinking His water and enjoying His sunshine, by deceiving themselves by acting as if God doesn’t exist, no longer cares, isn’t important, or that He’s even dead. They just don’t care or can’t realize what great extent God went to in order to reconcile people back into fellowship with Him.

Salvation may be offered free to us but it surely didn’t come cheap. A price greater than any of us will ever understand was paid in order to redeem us out of darkness and sin. Jesus Christ died a very real shameful, horrific and bloody death on that cross, but many live their lives as if they only consider it as just a cute story of fantasy, a fairy tale for children, or an archic fable for the aged just before dying.

But, The Heavenly Father loves you so very much that He has chosen to save you from your sins when you call on Him. He has chosen to hear and answer your prayers when you seek after Him, to be your strength during times of weakness, to be your peace when you’re experiencing heart-wrenching struggles and inner conflict, and to anoint you to perform your daily walk and Christian service.  And all of these things plus much more were only provided or given to us through the death and resurrection of His Son, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Why Did Jesus Tell Us To Remember Lot’s Wife?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

 looking back 1

Why Did Jesus Tell Us To Remember Lot’s Wife?

In Luke 17:32, Jesus gave a warning to His followers to “Remember Lot’s Wife.”

In Genesis chapter 19, we read of the story about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by God, the deliverance of Lot’s Family from the city and the destruction of Lot’s wife.   Because her heart still remained in Sodom and she yearned for past things, she met her doom because she failed to adhere to God’s commandment.

In looking back, she not only refused to break away from her past but looking back kept her from realizing and accepting what God was trying to now do in her life.

Filled with grief and anxiety for departing, she failed to relinquish rather than abandon her past and as a result, ended up losing her soul by her own choice.  Living in the past will cause hesitation, delay and even failure and will lead to missed opportunities and closed doors from God in your life too.

In using this phrase, Christ was first instructing his disciples not to look back in their flight, or to turn back to their houses, to save their goods, when the desolation of Jerusalem would come upon them.

Then in using this very same statement, Christ is warning all believers in all ages, against looking back to things that are behind, or turning their backs on Him, in a time of distress and persecution. Such, says Christ, are not fit for the kingdom of God and in these God has no delight and pleasure.

Don’t allow your past sins, mistakes, regrets, interests, pleasures or experiences to interfere with your pressing onward in Christ.  Don’t yearn for “yesterday.”  Living in or continually dwelling on the past will lead you off in the wrong direction.

Looking back is wonderful for counting your past blessings, seeing where the Lord has brought you from and being thankful for certain past cherished memories.  But it was never meant for you to become so pre-occupied with or too comfortable in that you would remain fixed, resist change, and refuse to go forward.

The Lord wants to do something new and exciting in and through your life today.  He has placed some new doors in front of you, but you can only arrive and enter in by faith.

Isaiah 43:19 NLT says, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Can You Receive This Special Prophetic Word From The Lord?

“Something that has not been seen or experienced in and through you will occur as you follow Me.  Don’t doubt in your heart, stand on My Word and walk in My Spirit saith God, and I will do amazing and wonderful things in your life that will surpass all that has ever been formerly done.”

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Do You Have Faith That God Can See?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Got faithDo You Have Faith That God Can See?

Does your life exemplify faith in Jesus Christ or are you the only person that knows about it?  Having faith in Christ will have a profound effect on you as you journey through life. The key is only revealed as you look to Christ and remain focused on God’s Word and what He has to say about you and your situation. And when others look at your life they should be able to also see Christ through your activities.

In 2nd Samuel 23:8-39 we are given a partial list of David’s mighty men.  These were men who under dark and dire circumstances demonstrated great acts of faith and extraordinary strength in their eager service to please David.  They were all involved in David’s victories over his enemies and connected with his ascension to the throne of Israel, so here their names were being distinguished for their courageous, heroic and brave deeds of faith.

As you read this dramatic portion of scripture, all believers should ask themselves, “Am I eager to please Christ?  Am I standing on His Word and walking in His Spirit?  Am I living in compliance with His Will?

While the exploits are too many to address at this point, please allow me to just briefly draw your attention to two of them:    In 2nd Samuel 23:10 NIV says, “But Eleazar stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword. The LORD brought about a great victory that day. The troops returned to Eleazar, but only to strip the dead.”

Notice that the victory in this event was accredited to God.  And that the only special recognition given to Eleazar was that he and his fighting weapon (his sword) became one throughout that battle.

Are you one with God’s Word?  The weapon of our warfare is The Word of God. No matter what you’re experiencing, it’s the will of God that you give priority to His Word.  For only in and through it shall you find the salvation, deliverance, healing, power, grace and victory that you need.

2nd Corinthians 10:4 informs all believers that “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.  On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”  Our weapons of are  God’s Word, prayer and praise, and along with The Holy Spirit, are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds and defeating our opposing enemies.

Then in verses 20 – 21 it says, “There was also Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant warrior from Kabzeel. He did many heroic deeds, which included killing two champions of Moab. Another time, on a snowy day, he chased a lion down into a pit and killed it.  Once, armed only with a club, he killed a great Egyptian warrior who was armed with a spear. Benaiah wrenched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with it.”

Benaiah evidently was not moved by what he physically saw but was only moved by His love and devotion to David his king and God.  The two champions of Moab were two gigantic, savage, lion-like men known for their strength and fierceness.

When there was a ferocious lion threatening and attacking a village, he tracked it into a small confining cave where he could not keep his distance or make his escape, where he knew he must fight or die. And on a snowy day, when lions are said to have the greatest strength because of the cold weather and in want of food, Benaiah not thinking about numbness in his hands or feet or the hideous roaring, killed the beast.

Through faith, The Holy Spirit of God will enable believers to achieve or accomplish many different things that will bring glory to God.  The ability to overcome any temptation, force of darkness or any negative situation fully rests upon you taking God at His Word, Trusting Christ and believing In His Wonderful Grace.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – ” “What should You Do When Facing Hardships and Battles?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

What Should You Do Wprayer warrors 3hen Facing Hardships and Battles?

The story of Moses and Joshua in the 17th chapter of Exodus was recorded as an example for believers today to know how we are to be when facing hard times,  negative situations, painful conditions, demonic activity and spiritual warfare all around us.

Israel under the leadership of Moses, just having experienced the delivering power of God at the Red Sea, now comes face to face with a brand new enemy as they’re marching towards Mt. Sinai.

When confronted by the enemy, Moses instructed Joshua to gather men to fight and that he would go stand on top of the mountain with the rod of God lifted up high in his hands against that spiritual warfare.

Exodus 17:11-13 NIV says “As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up–one on one side, one on the other–so that his hands remained steady till sunset.  So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.”

While Joshua was heavily engaged in the physical battle against the enemy in that valley, Moses knew that the victory would only be won through intercession before God and also provide strength and encouragement to those Joshua and the soldiers below.  So, as Moses held up his arms and hands in prayer, Israel was strengthened and mightily prevailed.  But as his arms grew weary and dropped, the enemy began to overpower Israel.

Under Grace today, and under the influence of faith through Jesus Christ, a believer has been given authority and power against Satan and every spiritual enemy.  God enables His believers, and calls them to various services for the good of his church.  Joshua fights, Moses prays, but both minister to Israel and victory is won.

While indeed our struggles are manifested down here on earth, we must remember that the real warfare is in the spiritual realm and that Spiritual Warfare is very real.  Joshua fighting in the valley is a true picture of the believer’s constant struggle and fight to win while we live down here on earth.  But before we can receive any victories here, we first must overcome in the spirit realm.  If our hands and our hearts become too heavy, if we restrain from seeking the face of God in prayer, Amalek will prevail.  That is, every spiritual enemy will gain ground against us.  Are you fighting to win or are you planning to wave the white flag of surrender?   God has called you to win!

While Moses with upheld arms is an excellent picture of a believer’s true warfare in the spirit, we believers must first realize that Jesus Christ has already given us “The Victory Thru Calvary.”  Jesus Christ defeated all spiritual adversaries, death, hell and the grave through His death on The Cross and His Resurrection. He has already provided the victory over all Spiritual Warfare.

Jesus Has Already Worked It Out For Us!  But, even though we are more than conquerors through Christ, we now have the on-going responsibility to walk in the Spirit and live in the victory that Christ has provided to all believers.

Therefore we too, like Moses, must keep our arms are raised high, and pierce through the darkness, quench the fiery darts from the enemy forces , keep identifying yourself with Christ, put on the whole armor of God, continue interceding before God’s throne, maintain a life of worship, pray and praise and walk in the authority that Our Lord has given unto you.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Are You Tuned In To The Voice Of The Holy Spirit?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

listening 2Are You Tuned In To The Voice Of The Holy Spirit?”

Many today have pre-determined in their minds what they want to hear, follow or ignore through the process of “selective hearing” when it comes to listening and obeying The Lord.

While recognizing His Voice is just the beginning, walking in obedience is what’s difficult and hinders many people.  In John 10:27 Jesus said “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

Those that are willing to follow Christ, must yield themselves to his guidance and seek to be led and directed by Him, as you’re tuned in to The Voice of The Holy Spirit of God.

The true story happened back when the telegraph was the fastest method of long distance communication, as a young man applied for a job as a Morse code operator

Answering an ad in the newspaper, he went to the office address that was listed. When he arrived, he entered a large, busy office filled with noise and clatter, including the sound of the telegraph in the background. A sign on the receptionist’s counter instructed job applicants to fill out a form and wait until they were summoned to enter the inner office.

The young man filled out his form and sat down with the seven other applicants in the waiting area. After a few minutes, the young man stood up, crossed the room to the door of the inner office, and walked right in.

Naturally the other applicants perked up, wondering what was going on. They muttered among themselves that they hadn’t heard any summons yet. They assumed that the young man who went into the office made a mistake and would be disqualified.

Within a few minutes, however, the employer escorted the young man out of the office and said to the other applicants, “Gentlemen, thank you very much for coming, but the job has just been filled.”

The other applicants began grumbling to each other, and one spoke up saying, “Wait a minute, I don’t understand. He was the last to come in, and we never even got a chance to be interviewed. Yet he got the job. That’s not fair!”

The employer said, “I’m sorry, but all the time you’ve been sitting here, the telegraph has been ticking out the following message in Morse code: If you understand this message, then come right in. The job is yours.’ None of you heard it or understood it. This young man did. The job is his.

Are your ears tuned in to The Voice Of The Holy Spirit? The Lord speaks through the Bible, The Holy Spirit and even to us through our circumstances, but are you listening to what He’s saying?

Is there anything that’s hindering you from hearing and obeying the voice of The Holy Spirit of God?  If so, then ask yourself, Is it really worth missing God?”

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Should Trusting God Be Your First Option Or Last Resort?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

end of your rope 3

Should Trusting God Be Your First Option Or Last Resort?

When people come to the end of the rope, why don’t they seek God first, in faith with confidence in His Word, instead of searching for alternative solutions through exhaustive, fleshly, and even extremely costly means?

Why do people, especially believers, explore so many other options before putting The Lord first? When did seeking Christ and the grace of God become a last resort?

“If you’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work, then try Jesus.” While these were the opening words of a song I used to sing in a choir many years ago, over the years it’s seemed to trouble my heart to a great degree and began to make me asks questions.

Considering God as a last resort always results with a loss of time, missed opportunities, delayed breakthroughs, financial loss, family division, and experiencing unnecessary heartaches, hurt and pain.

Additionally, considering God as a last resort can be a sign or a symptom of even a more serious problem: SIN! This is not a time for selective amnesia, doubt, unbelief, or walking in the flesh, but a time to stand up in faith and look to Jesus Christ.

Have you forgotten just how much He loves you and takes delight in demonstrating His power and grace in the midst of His children?  And that’s there’s nothing too hard for Him to do?

1st Peter 5:6-7 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

The entire plan of Satan is to bring enough pain and heartache into your life to crush your faith in Christ and produce ruin and total destruction.  But are there any difficulties that faith in The Living Savior cannot cure, remedy, heal, or deliver?

You are encouraged and instructed to cast all your care:  personal care, family care, financial care, cares for the present, cares for the future, care for others, care for your society and care for your church, all on God.

Failure to do this will produce greater heartache, misery, doubt, anguish and unbelief, which always distracts the mind and leads to sin.  The only remedy is to cast all your care upon God and leave everything to His Gracious Intervention.

Remember the wonderful promising words of Jesus Himself that He spoke in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”

There are so many biblical stories where God entered into a seemingly impossible situation involving an individual, a family, a group, or a nation, where He mightily intervened and rendered salvation, healing, deliverance, provision, a blessing or a victory to those that looked to Him.

So, now this is your hour to trust Him even if you can’t see what He’s doing or understand how He’s orchestrating in your affairs at this very moment. Cast all your cares upon Him. Hang it all on His Cross. Know that Jesus died for you. But even more importantly, that He Arose for you, and in and through Him you now have the victory. So, Put Him First And He’ll Put You First…

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Did You Know That If You Are Hurting, Then He Hurts Too?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Did You Know That Igracef You Are Hurting, Then He Hurts Too?

During His earthly life, Jesus Christ was never a stranger to temptation, sorrow, loneliness, heartache, suffering, rejection and pain.  Then upon The Cross, Jesus allowed Himself to be forsaken by God so He could say, “I know what it feels like, I’ve been there too.”

Hebrews 4:15 NASB says “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”

Our Lord knows about our pain and is always moved by the same things that distress us.  Our Lord, having taken on our human nature, flesh and blood, a human body and a human soul and having lived a human life, today is not without feelings, while being Our Great High Priest.

Therefore, Our High Priest is NOT some cold, unfeeling, uncaring, heartless, untouchable, distant or abstract personality or being.  NO!  HE IS abundantly qualified to sympathize with us in our afflictions and THE ONE to whom we can look to for aid and support throughout our trials in life.

If we had a high priest who was cold, indifferent and uncaring, THEN WHY are there so many promises regarding salvation, forgiveness, grace, hearing and answering prayer, comforting the broken hearted, deliverance, healing, giving peace during troubling times, providing needs, and giving strength and hope during the dark times in our lives?

Why would He have sent The Holy Spirit to continually help, assist, teach and guide us?  Why would He continually dispatch His holy angels to be ministering spirits to stand with us along the way?

Years ago, my step-mother laid in a coma with different tubes being connected to her frail body for monitoring pain medication and verifying her vitals, having been diagnosed with cancer throughout her body.   Throughout life, we didn’t always agree on many things and weren’t as close as we could have been, especially after the death of my father years earlier.

I was a pastor of a small church and also worked as a truck driver and after returning back very late from my route, she was mightily on my mind and I felt led to go to the hospital to see her.  It was beyond visiting hours and just past midnight when I arrived.  But, after explaining who I was and that I also was a pastor, the hospital staff allowed me to enter her room.

As I gazed down at her lying in that coma, I then turned to looked out the side window at the beautiful star-lite night and I prayed, “Lord, if I could just speak to her one more time I would tell her that I am sorry and that I really do love her.”

Suddenly, I heard a movement and she opened her eyes and looking at me said, “Daddy?”  That’s was her loving pet name that she’d called my father and I had the honor of looking just like him.

With tears streaming down my face I said, “No, dear it’s Junior and I want you to know how much I really love you.”   As she starred at me, for the last time she spoke, “Junior, I love my Junior.”  And with a wonderful smile that I’ll never forget, her frail body sank back into the sheets and went back to sleep.  And before sunrise that morning, she went to be with Our Lord.

I will never forget that encounter or experience and the wonderful grace of Christ.  He had allowed her to briefly come out of that coma to commune with me for that special and priceless last time.  And how wonderful it was to my soul.

My friends, one cannot live for God without encountering and being affected by His love, His mercy and His Wonderful Grace.  As believers in Christ, we do not remember or worship one who only just lived and died.

No, we worship, serve and continually have faith in He who once died but IS RISEN and IS ALMIGHTY and as Our High Priest, is very concerned about and is interactive in our lives today.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Did You Know That Reading The Instructions Can Keep You From Failing?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Rubiks CubeDid You Know That Reading The Instructions Can Keep You From Failing?”

Several years ago, I walked into my friend’s house and he was trying to solve a new game called Rubik’s Cube. After picking it up myself, I laughed and told him how easy it should be for me to solve it.

But, after several hours that day and many other days that I had wasted in trying to solve it, I was simply amazed on what I would have accomplished sooner if I had only read and followed the instructions.

While the Rubik’s Cube is a complicated fun toy, reading and following the instructions would’ve saved me a lot of frustration, misery, stress, pain and wasted time. But, like so many other areas in life, we think that we’re smart enough to can handle everything ourselves. Then we begin to wonder, “How did this get out of control?”

Well, life in relationship to God’s Word is exactly that way. If we fail to read and follow the instructions, and apply them to our lives, then you’ll end up having to face certain consequences for messing up that always prove to be embarrassing, painful, and even costly.

In 2nd Timothy 3: 16-17 NIV, God says, “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man (or woman) of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

This reveals that the Bible is our instruction guide for every part of our lives. And if we abide in His Word, the results will turn out differently in all of our endeavors. In the Word, God speaks to us in every scenario of life: marriage, parenting, finances, worship, education, business, and even sex.

Secondly, The Holy Spirit will move and guide your heart in the right direction or decisions so you won’t again make the mistakes that have previously made.

Shouldn’t your life be more about walking in victory and accomplishing things that will inspire and bless people and have a lasting effect?

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “Are You Experiencing The Opposite Of What You’re Believing God For?”

Today’s Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

Are You Experiencing Tovercoming stress - man with wordshe Opposite Of What You’re Believing God For?

In a world filled with unthankful bosses, unsympathetic relatives, screaming kids, unkind drivers, unfriendly church members, demanding bill collectors and many other endless problems, what’s the secret to standing in faith and believing The Lord?

In life, you will encounter times when you’ll feel like giving up and throwing in the towel because your present situation may appear as if all hope has eluded you.  But, you’ll need to learn and remember the importance of seeing things the ways God sees them and rising up to take authority over those conditions.

For Faith always has been and will forever be the mark of God’s children, from the beginning of the world through eternity.

In the 17th chapter of 1st Samuel, we read the wonderful story of young David, who after going out to take provisions to the soldiers on the battlefield, he saw them mightily trembling before a massive giant in the opposing army that stood cursing Israel and God.

1st Samuel 17:26 NIV says “David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

When King Saul and the Israelites soldiers saw Goliath, they believed he was too big to fight.  But when young David saw Goliath, he believed he was too big to miss.

There were two things which provoked David, one was the character of that uncircumcised and profane Philistine and the other was the fearful king and frightened soldiers that represented the armies of the living God.  So, David rose up in faith and believed that God would take authority of those conditions.

So, challenges, problems, pressures and troubles, “How Do You See Them When They’re In Front Of You?”

Hebrews 11:1 NIV says “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

There is scarcely any verse in the New Testament more important than this, for it reveals the true nature of faith, and it’s the only definition or description given in the Scriptures that Faith gives reality or substance to the things hoped for.

Regardless of any opposing or contrary being seen or heard, under the influence of faith, a believer allows God’s promises to impact our thinking and control our mind throughout all various situations. Then, that faith enables us to act in ways to exert authority in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   Faith gives us ability or force to continue to believe, stand and move forward despite what we physically see or are experiencing.  Eternal life depends on the existence and the exercise of faith.

Are you aware that God always does great and mighty things through believers that others consider insignificant or unimportant? One person yielded to God’s Word and Holy Spirit through faith can accomplish more than 100 people without God.

Believers today have never seen God, never seen heaven, never seen Jesus physically and never seen a body raised from the grave after being dead 3 days.  But, all the evidence is more than satisfactory to his or her mind and heart through God’s spoken word on these subjects and, along with the indwelling Holy Spirit, are more than enough proof that our SAVIOR LIVES and has power to enable us through all the circumstances we face in our lives.

Continue to trust in His name, rise up and look beyond your mountains, stand on His Word and step out in faith and know that His Grace will always meet you there.

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!

Daily Devotional – “If Something Is Done In The Name Of Jesus, Does that Always Mean That Jesus Approves?”

Today Daily Devotional from Pastor Andrew Bills

wolves in sheep clothing

If Something Is Done In The Name Of Jesus – Does That Always Mean That Jesus Approves?

No, it does not!  Our world is filled with people who just want to be seen, along with fakers, imposters, false prophets, con-artists, wolves in sheep clothing and deceivers, who’s only motives have been to “fleece the flock,” to promote their own selfish agendas and to deceive the people.  There have been many terrible things occur throughout the history of the church that are clear deviations from the teachings of Christ and His Apostles,  performed by “spiritual gold-diggers” that have used the name of Jesus Christ in unimaginable ways.

They have wrecked homes, destroyed families, seized assets, stole from widows, broken relationships, split churches, and caused multitudes of others to blaspheme God, through their selfish interests, false prophesying, deceptive tricks, phony healings, and fake anointed miracles, all while invoking the name of The Lord.

That’s the reason that you must learn and study the Word of God, be lead of The Holy Spirit and have an intimate fellowship with Christ yourself, that you might be able to discern or distinguish frauds and not fall prey to their deceptive antics.

In Matthew 7: 22-23 Jesus said, “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

What an awful picture it is, that people who claimed to cast out devils, on judgment day, will themselves be cast to the devil, in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

In Acts  10: 13-16 NIV God allowed the following story to become publicly witnessed and recorded in scripture to be a warning to many….  It says,

“Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”  Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.  One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”  Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.”

These Jews, who wandered from place to place, thought they could conduct exorcisms by merely duplicating Paul’s words or actions.

So they thought, if they could use the name of Jesus, just like the magic expression “ab-ra-ca-da-bra,” then they would have the same effect as The Apostle Paul.   For they then believed it would become a wealthy source of income for them because of all the demonic individuals throughout that land.

Satan knows if Christ in dwelling in your life, if you’re being led of The Holy Spirit, walking in the anointing and if you have credibility with God.   The powers of darkness know if you have a personal relationship with Christ and have “Son-ship Rights of Authority.”

These seven brothers found out the hard way that one demon possessed man with extraordinary power and rage, could overpower, strip them of their clothing, beat them shamefully and have them running down the street naked, wounded and bleeding.

These impostors could not work miracles, and after they exposed themselves to the rage of evil spirits, their failure only served to extend the power of the gospel.  Fear fell on all of the people, so that others were deterred from making such further attempts.

Regardless if some deceivers or imposters are having large assemblies of people, are financially prosperous in raising offerings or selling their products and seem as if they are getting away, THEY WILL NOT CONTINUE TO STAND.

The Lord Jesus Christ will have the final “say-so” or final word in every individual’s life.  And it should be your greatest desire to hear our Lord Jesus Christ say “WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.”

THEREFORE, HAVE FAITH IN GOD!
